BER-LINK Family Journey
Seven days under sail for families who want sea, wind, children, and quality time in a small flotilla of catamarans.

About the journey
A small flotilla of family catamarans for entrepreneurs and their families who want to exchange routines for sea, wind, and quality time with their children.
This is neither a package holiday nor a party cruise. Every family becomes part of the crew while remaining free to enjoy the journey at its own pace.

Who joins
Timed for the first week of the Berlin-Brandenburg school autumn holidays, so children travel without missing school.
On previous trips, children aged 7 to 18 made up around half of all participants - helping during mooring, learning about sailing, and quickly making new friends.
Community
Most families are entrepreneurs from Germany and France. There is no business agenda, yet seven days at sea naturally create conversations, friendships, and a sense of shared values.
Entrepreneur parents will find plenty worth sharing with the teenagers on board about career and business - informally, over the course of the week.
Led by
The flotilla is coordinated by IYT-certified sailing instructor Ilja Disterheft, who has organised family sailing adventures for many years.
Each catamaran is led by an experienced skipper who is also an entrepreneur sailing with his own family - a safe, relaxed environment for adults and children.
Flow of the week
Breakfast, then two to four hours under sail toward the next destination, depending on weather and route.
Relax, steer, trim sails, help during departures, or learn the rhythm of sailing. No previous experience required.
Most days include secluded bays for swimming, snorkelling, paddleboarding, or quiet time in clear Mediterranean water.
Some nights are at anchor beneath the stars, others in Mediterranean marinas with shared dinners and sunsets.
Registration
Leave your details and the BER-LINK team will confirm availability, family fit, and the next practical details personally.
For families who want to join the full seven-day sailing flotilla on the French Riviera.
Important
Sailing firstThe itinerary is intentionally flexible. Wind and weather always determine the safest and most enjoyable route.
Authentic sailing means the route changes with conditions.
Born from the sailing holiday the organiser wanted for his own family - not a children's camp, not an adults-only charter.
Shared community with enough private space for every family.
